The main antioxidants, such as selenium, and the vitamins A, C and E were assumed to be the main weapons with which our bodies fight `free radicals`. New research has shown there to be equally powerful antioxidants in plant materials such as grapeseed, green tea and rosemary and these are combined in Betasec™. combined effective levels of the standard anti-oxidant nutrients, plus some of the best sources of natural plant antioxidants, all presented in a concentrated extract form.

This product provides Selenomethionine which contributes to the raw materials from which the body makes glutathione peroxidase, as well as another enzyme that converts thyroxine into the more active tri-iodothyroxine (T3) which has a fundamental role in basal metabolism. Glutathione peroxidase has an important antioxidant role in the body, neutralising free radicals - highly reactive substances which, when in excess, can be harmful. Selenomethionine is yeast free, stable and has been proven to be effectively absorbed.
